Principal

Ms. Padma S was the Founder principal of DBS Kharagpur, Navodaya Central School, Raichur, Karnataka and Spurthy Global School, Bengaluru. She is a dedicated educationist with a rich national and international exposure across premium institutions that include National Public School, Singapore and Gulf International High School, Dubai, as a Principal. Teaching roles encompasses premium Institute such as National Public Schools, Indiranagar and Koramangala, Bengaluru. She holds a Master’s degree in Life Science with a Bachelor’s degree in Education and has an overall experience of 20 years. Published in-house school text books- Enjoy English and Enjoy Mathematics. She has been an active member of the inspection committee for CBSE and ICSE affiliation, and KHDA inspection, Dubai.

Principal’s Message

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year!!! Our commitment at DBM is to provide a safe and intellectually challenging environment that will empower students to become innovative thinkers, creative problem solvers and inspired learners prepared to thrive in the twenty-first century.

High standards and expectations for each student in regard to academic performance, co-curricular participation, and responsible citizenship are the foundation of our school. We value our partnerships with parents, families and community and we enjoy working with families to help students achieve their full potential as we believe that each and every student has a gift to share and that we can help nurture that gift.

Below are our beliefs regarding teaching and learning process at DBM.

We believe that effective teachers:

• Create opportunities for intellectual risk-taking, collaboration, problem-solving, and application of classroom learning to real life situations;
• Implement strategies that promote ownership of learning to students;
• Design instruction to integrate a variety of innovative technological tools and resources to enhance learning;
• Demonstrate ongoing professional growth in order to increase the quality of instruction;
• Collaborate with colleagues to share and discuss exemplary practices, interpret student performance data, and design assessments that promote twenty-first century skills.

 We believe that successful students:

• Communicate in a meaningful way for a variety of purposes and audiences;
• Demonstrate a sensitivity to the precision and nuances of written, visual, and aural medium through comprehension, interpretation, and evaluation;
• Employ critical and creative thinking skills to solve problems;
• Pose questions, examine possibilities, and apply skills to find solutions to authentic issues.
• Make positive choices related to physical and mental wellness;
• Contribute to the local and global community in a collaborative and respectful manner;
• Are Technology literates and great initiators.

But as the saying goes, “Once a Bosconian, Always a Bosconian”, I am confident that the Bosconian spirit will remain strong no matter where we are. The new campus, designed to capture our fine traditions and to provide for multi-modal learning, will undoubtedly offer exciting learning opportunities to our students and with full participation in academic and co-curricular programs and a willingness to act responsibly as an individual within our educational environment enables them to have a successful and enjoyable year.
